Trying to send links for  password protected files but user is prompted TWICE for password - once in IE and with Windows Media Player

Hello,

I am running Windows Server 2008  with IIS7.

I'd like to be able send links to my clients so they can view movies directly without having to down them through our FTP.   I do want the files secured though so they will be prompted for a username and password.   They do get prompted for a password when they click on the link however it opens windows media player and they get prompted again for the same username and password.   Our company wants to send out many of these easily so they just want to send a simple link with no code - e.g. https://www.mycompany.com/ourclient/sample.wmv
