Sharepoint WebDav copy error -36 from Mac

I have a WSS 3.0 site running on a 64bit Server 2008 system with IIS7. I have clients on both Windows and Mac connecting via WebDav to the server for file add/transfers.

On windows we are having no issue reading or writing to the shares.

However on our mac's be are getting an error -36 error message and a file of 0bytes every time we try to copy a file to the shares from within finder. Browsing and downloading is fine.

The very odd thing is that if i drop into a terminal window, i can copy the file using a linux mv command with no errors.

Anyone got any ideas, Windows and Basic authentication are enabled on the site in IIS.
