I look for a multi-mailing list solution for a group of people

I look for a simple to manage, if possible FOSS, robust system to support a few hundreds specialised mailing lists among a group of 1000 to 3000 peple. I wish to enter the members in the club only once and permit them to subscribe/unsubscribe very easily. This can be a system attached to my mailbox, or acting as a server. I would like to be able to put the lists in monitored mode to protect the traffice against spam, conflicts, and to translate some of the posts if necessary. This means that the post management should permit me to class the mails automatically (through origin, subject, etc.) and manually in moving them.
