The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

How to attach a CSV file to email

Asked by arnold1982 in Internet & Email Software, Email Software, Development Software

Hi...

I was wondering if anybody could help me with the following problem...!?

I have a machine that logs data and saves this in a csv file. After a day of loggin the csv file has to be sent out via a wavecom modem(GPRS). I am able to send and to receive emails but the problem is that the modem wont let me attach any files.

I am using AT commands to talk to the modem and there are no AT commands to attach a file to an email.

So I was thinking, what if I just paste the data into the email itself and receive it on the other side as an attchment.

I dont want to use an extra program to extract the data from the email, it has to arrive as a seperate attachment.

Does anybody know if it is possible to do something like this, I think it should be very simple, but I just need to know what kind of commands I have to use in the email so it will know it has to recognize it as an attachment.

So I create an Email with AT commands, and get up as far as the body. Then I would like to attach a CSV file. Maybe there are some commands to paste into the email itself to let the data be attached as an attachment.

Hope somebody ahs an idear. If it is not clear enough please let me know and I will try to explain...!!

Tnx
