Hi chipmate,
Try resetting your default web browser using the "Default Programs" feature in Vista.
http://www.winhelponline.c
there are two ways to fix this error,
This way:
Right click on any web page >> open with >> choose program >> find internet explorer >> select it >> check the check box "always use this program to open this kind of file"
or This way:
Open "my computer" or "my documents", either will work. select "Tools" and then "Folder Options". Now click on the "File Types" tab.
Scroll through this list and find the extensions .htm and .html
click on .htm to highlight it and select the "Change" button
now a box pops up that should give you two options, select the "Select the program from a list" option and click OK
Now go through this list and find Internet Explorer, click on it to highlight it, and make sure you check the box that says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"
Now click OK.
Now go back and repeat this process for the .html extension
let me know of any problems and i'll try to help
