Have you changed/moved or deleted the History location?

Try doing an IE reset
You don't have delete browsing history on exit checked? It doesn't sound like it from what you described you have done, but I have to ask.  I have mine set to automatically delete history when I exit IE (in my case 11) and it acts exactly like that.
basemkhawaja64--
Do you often use IE Tools|Delete Browsing History and have that box next to History checked?
Where are you looking for the history? Basem,
Just so we are all on the same page.
Go to View>explorer bar>history
Do you have Any toolbars added?
Have a look in Tools Internet options> where it says delete history on exit open the settings tab next to delete>click on the history tab and days to keep history

InPrivate Browsing helps prevent Internet Explorer from storing data about your browsing session.
This includes cookies, temporary Internet files, history, and other data.
Browsers store some info—like your search history—to help improve your experience on the web.
When you use InPrivate Browsing, info like passwords, search history, and page history is deleted once you close the tab.

I am attaching internet options dialog boxes, Gary: how do I know if I did change the History location, I do not think I did. What is the default location for it?
I have CCleaner, and I have the delete history unchecked as well.

In private browsing is turned off, please see my screen shots that I had posted.

Thanks
In Website Data Settings, click View Files - does the folder exist?
yes it shows temporary internet files
Are you running anything like CCleaner?
He said he was running ccleaner and I said that if he was running it regularly it would cause these symptoms.  OP never responded to whether he was running it regularly or not.
Missed that in his comment
Disable CCleaner completely (or remove it) and see if the history begins to work
basemkhawaja64--
Try running msconfig from a Command Prompt.  Go to Startup tab.  Do you see any unfamiliar programs named and checked in there?
I like CCleaner, I have the professional paid version. I do not know if it is the culprit. As I said I have the history unchecked in the CCleaner so it should be saved until I manually delete it.
Just try disabling it temporarily to eliminate it as the cause.

The only thing that I found which I am already aware of is webroots and SAS(superantispyware) and I had those for sometimes are they known to wipe  out the history?
Thank you
I did disabled ccleaner
still no history, only webroots and super anti spyware left and Malware bytes
Basem to cover all basis
the history is the pages you have visited? not temporary internet files.
So in internet explorer >view>explorer bars>history
This will put the history bar on the side of your browser, please put it there and watch what happens as your browse.
Do your browsing and searching and the new sites will be added in the history bar live on your left.
It also shows your activity on your computer.
Testing this may help us determine if it is adding the history live and then disappearing once you close your internet explorer browser.
If there is a HDD space issue or a corrupted profile.
Do you have donot track set to clear your history
Are these tools you ave installed>still no history, only webroots and super anti spyware left and Malware bytes<< are any of these set to clear your history to stop tracking?

History Viewer is an application that allows you to access the history of all your installed browsers and Windows components from a single interface.

Are you on a lan at home or at work?
No group policies inplace.

If there is a HDD space issue or a corrupted profile-I am not sure and I do not know how to test for this.
Do you have do not track set to clear your history-I was unable to find how to check for this , I found tools-tracking protection-your personalized list disabled.

Are these tools you have installed>still no history, only webroots and super anti spyware left and Malware bytes<< are any of these set to clear your history to stop tracking?-Once again I did look in malware bytes and web roots and SAS and I could not find any thing about history.
Thank you Merete
This will put the history bar on the side of your browser, please put it there and watch what happens as your browse--I did this and nothing showed up in the history bar on the left. Do you think if upgrade my browser from 10 to 11 will that fix the problem. Merete can you send me download link to IE 11

also you asked if I am on LAN at home or work. I use my computer at home and I have a Linksys router AC1900 EA6900 .How do I know if I am using LAN ?

No group policies in place.--I am not sure , I do not know. How can I check?
You are using IE on your computer-Yes

Thank you Merete
Merete

I was doing the troubleshooting per the link you sent me. I think the corrupted users profile might be the culprit.I was unable to click on my documents I got this message see screen capture

To create a new user profile

To create a new user profile, you must first create a new user account. When the account is created, a profile is also created.

The steps that you should follow will vary, depending on whether your computer is on a domain or a workgroup. To find out, see "To check if your computer is on a workgroup or domain" in What is the difference between a domain, a workgroup, and a home group?
Show all
My computer is on a domain
Picture of the Start button Administrator permission required
My computer is in a workgroup

Picture of the Start button

Administrator permission required

To copy files to the new user profile

After you create the profile, you can copy the files from the existing profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to complete these steps, including the new account you just created.
1.
Log on as a user other than the new user you just created or the user that you want to copy files from.

2.
Open the My Documents folder by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Computer. Double-click the hard disk drive that Windows is installed on (it's usually your C: drive), double-click Users, double-click the folder with the name of your account, and then double-click My Documents.

Is your computer registered to OWNER, that's what you see at the top of your Start Orb
So in order to access your My Documents open Owner
My computer is registered to User
Open Computer in the left explorer scroll down to your User name Owner? Can you open My Documents here?

First and last always grateful to you. Last time my computer was restored at best buy geek squad they assigned for whatever reason OWNER name instead of Basem Khawaja. I asked they said that I would have to bring my computer for them again to change to my name . that was very ignorant of them!! my documents as you can see I can see it when I am under owner. There is another computer my wife uses it is iMac that connects via router it has a built in airport I think Wi-Fi .I disabled  or unchecked  the windows temporary folder and system temporary folder in system optimizer in the web roots secure anywhere Users interface in the system tray and still nothing happened no history.  I have windows 7 64 bit home premium edition. I do not use password to log on. I will download the IE 11 just to give it a try to rule out but I need to know what is the offline installer offers over the basic IE 11 installation, I won't download it but I would like to know. also I will follow your instructions hopefully I can create the TEST profile successfully. I will let you know . Thank you Merete

There was a download for IE 11 in the updates for some reason it never got updated , do you know why also if I would have checked the box for IE11 to be updated from the updates would that have been the same as the link you sent me in another words does it have the installer or not. Thank you

Basem
IE-11-Download-in-UPDATES.JPG
Yep put a tick next to internet explorer and then ok then install updates Basem.
Updates come in two formats, "critical updates" to secure your system and "others"
Using IE is not critical so falls in to the Others
but the updates for it is.
Not everyone wants to use Internet Explorer.
You might see drivers for our software in the "others" as well, I always use the drivers from my manufacturer not Microsoft those are not really dedicated drivers,

With the web page version I gave that incase you were not offered it in updates.
It is easier to just use the window updates.
Yes it includes the installer. But it a two stage, first untick Bing click get IE it loads at the bottom of your browser, open downloads and run it

I installed IE 11, but it did not ask me anything about Bing and MSN to be my default where you had shown me to untick the box for that any way. After installation I still had no luck with history . I need to work on TEST profile hopefully that would be the cure. Also I did not see any feedback from you regarding my documents being able to access it from owner under users.please let me know .

Thank you my friend

I am sorry but it think you misunderstood me. I was able to access my documents based on the screen capture you included. I do not know if that was good or bad??
Hi Basem, I'm a little confused now, you said earlier that you couldn't access my documents "access denied" Location is not available.
User generated imageSo I posted a suggestion to access it, and you confirm that you can access your My Documents that is the main thing.
To get back to your main question, you have no history in internet explorer.
The suggestion that you had access denied in My Documents did point to a possible corrupted profile but let's rule that out now.

What steps to take next?
Rereading back,
I notice that you have several web addresses as your home page
Maybe that is your problem it says to start with home page but you have 3 or 4?
highlight one then select use current. Open your page go to the top View>explorer Bar>History, having your explorer bar here you can see straight away if the home page is collecting history

I did all u asked nothing happened. I uninstalled super antispyware pro version and Microsoft security essentials nothing happened. I had unchecked very thing that has to do with history in webroots still nothing. I only have 2 options remaining uninstall ccleaner and Malware bytes pro version. I will keep you posted. YES I am able to access my documents under owner as a user . I am not quiet sure why I got that message that I had sent you that is shown in your last reply.
Thank you  Basem

In view of the many things you have tried, it may be fastest to consider a Repair Install
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html
This should not affect your personal data or installed programs, but a backup first is always a good idea.
I need to work on TEST profile hopefully that would be the cure. << good idea
If any of your cleaners have deleted these in your profile may have corrupted it.
All history is stored in your profile as an  index.dat even when deleted it should not corrupt your profile
http://computerprivacy101.com/indexdat-files-wiki/47-index-dat-files-basics.html

But repairing internet explorer should be easier try this fix it run now from MS.
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/ie_performance_and_safety
This the fixit for MS good place to use if and when registry cleaners delete keys that may cause a programs features not function right

step 3  View or run solutions for All Internet Explorer problem areas

Your web browsing history will only be created when do browsing.
the reg key is
 HKEY_USERS/DEFAULT/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENTVERSION/EXPLORER/UserShellFolders
Merete
I further uninstalled ccleaner, malware bytes and still no luck. I ran those utilities you recommended. no luck.

It may be time.

So there is nothing to worry about with repair install. Meaning the integrity of everything I have on my computer would remain the same. I would not lose anything! I do have a back up plan with Carbonite is that good enough.
Thank you
