Hi, will be great if someone can help me. I have the followig issue:
I use Windows XP Pro SP2, My Antivirus McAfee detected some Trojan and Virus, it says it deleted them, but they seem to remain there.
Strange things happen, like i can not see any HIDDEN FILES. (a day before this started to happen, i had a DELL technician replace my Video Card because it broke down a week ago_ and i do not remember downloading or navigating on internet that much since the repair, and before the videocar d broke down, the video card driver corrupted, so i downloaded the most recent video driver from Dell...) (I write this just in case you think there is a relation between this)
The Virus that where detected are the following:
- Kavo.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\kavo.e
xe W32/Autorun.worm.c (Virus)
- There is a Startup item on MSCONFIG called Kavo under C:\WINDOWS\system32\kavo.e
xe KKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Wi
ndows\Curr
entVersion
\Run
- Vanti vmhr.bat \Local Settings\Temp\ml.dll VAnti (Trojan)
-autorun.inf (explorer.exe C:\autorun.inf Generic!atr (Trojan)
-(and other plenty of .exe files like taskmgr.exe, notepad.exe, rundll32.exe, verclsid.exe, that are related to C:\WINDOWS\system32\kavo0.
dl Generic Packed (Trojan) _ You can see this in my Antivirus LOG that i am attaching.
- Sometimes also when I connect my USB flash Drive, it detects a virus i think it said something about autorun.inf
Hopefully there is a way on cleaning this that doesnt mean to Reinstall OS, i would not like to do that, I prefer if possible to fix it and clean it.
Can you please also tell me what this Virus or trojans do to my computer and info? are they very risky or dangerous?
