When I open Mozilla Firefox, my fixed browser tabs all have 'about:blank" in the tab title instead of the name of the bookmarked website. I thought it was a browser hijacker but even though I've removed a number of 'pests' it seemed to have disappeared for a little while but now I think it's back. Also, when Firefox first opens 'about:blank' appears before before the program name (in the top left hand corner of the screen).

I have also been getting an error message when I re-open Firefox and the previous browsing session is being restored -

TypeError : req.responseXML has no properties.

Then I get a message saying that Firefox Bookmark Synchroniser has lost something and asks do I want to make the current bookmarks the master set.

Any help in confirming what might be causing this 'about:blank' thing would be greatly appreciated as well as a way to get rid of it completely.

I have the following security programs installed -

NOD32 (anti-virus)
Stopzilla (V5) (spyware detector and remover)
Ad Aware
Zone Alarm
