Firefox submits form on onClick event

The idea of the code is that when Copy button is clicked the value of active cell is copied and after when the Paste button is clicked it is pasted into selection of cells.
It works in IE.
But in Firefox after I just push button Copy - the form is immediately being submitted. And this is not what I mean... :(

Well. It prevent form submitting indeed.
But now the native submit button of the form doesn't work

so maybe do something like this:

 function doSubmit()
 {
   canSubmit = true;
 }
</script>

<form method="POST" name="allot" id="formallot" onsubmit="return canSubmit;">

<input type="submit" onClick="doSubmit();">

This is just a thought, my javascript is a bit rusty.

Instead of using the BUTTON tag for the copy and paste buttons, use this:

<input type="button" onClick="CopyIt()">Copy</input>
<input type="button" onClick="PasteIt()">Fill</input>

What about changing the onclick to have return false afterwards.  Like:

<button onClick="CopyIt();return false">Copy</button>
<button onClick="PasteIt();return false">Fill</button>

This will make it so it doesn't follow any additional functions it would normally do.
