Browse All TopicsHi folks,
I had installed Mozilla Firefox and made it as the default browser on my system (I had selected the option that says Firefox should check to see if it is the default browser, and the first time it asked me to set it as default browser, I said yes).
Now, for some reason, my company wants me to revert back to IE 6.0 as the default browser. So what I've done is unselected that option in Firefox and selected the option in IE that says Internet Explorer should check to see if it is the default browser. However, it never seems to ask me anything and my default browser remainds Firefox. How can I change this back to IE without uninstalling Firefox?
Thanks,
Mayank.

If you are using Windows XP try:
Start Menu - Control Panel - Add Remove Programs.
On the left click "Set Program Access and Defaults"
You will probably see that you are using a "Custom" configuration.
Click on custom to see what is set for your "Choose your default Web browser" setting. Select "Internet Explorer" and then click OK.
You may want to reboot after setting that just to be sure, but that should take care of it.
