The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. doctype definition, javascript and firefox

Hi, All

I am tring to do a frame slide animation in javascript but I found that an aspx page that has

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

definition do not play my animation on firefox. IE just do all the job well. What could be the reason that my javascript do not work properly on firefox when the page has a doctype definion like that. I do not pass the code but mainlly it iterates two divs style.left to make a slide effect, simply. When I get rid off doctype definiton my script works well both on FF and IE.
