Browse All TopicsHi,
My FIOS Internet is very, very slow these days. I ran a speed test and it came out as 4951/1720. Very often, when I first open Firefox or IE, all my tabs come up as "Unable to connect". When I close the browser and open again, it's fine.
I run Vista Premium.
I've had FIOS for almost a year and it's not always like this.
Thanks!

Besides, this happened several times before and Verizon techs came out, tested it with their own laptops and it was fine. They always said it's my AV or antispyware. BUt how can I be without my AV or Antispyware? Besides, why does it vary? I ran scans with both Ad Aware and Spybot and nothing much came up.
Try this..Its not a guarantee..but it will reset your nic card and re-install the tcpip.sys file

Do you have another machine to try it out on? If so and receiving the same results, I would call Verizon.
