Why when run firefox v3, I often get 'dummywindowless Firefox application exception 0xc000000d error'

Why when run Firefox v3 often get dummywindowless firefox application error exception 0xc000000d at location ox7817ef67 and Firefox crashes upon clicking OK or Cancel? Web search indicates some confusion about what causes what: Firefox addons, AVG Antivirus, many other special situations??. Only one seemed pertinent was AVG Addon to Firefox. I have tried freebee AVG and Full version AVG and Ver 8 and repeat reinstalls with no benefit.  When I dissabled the AVG Addon in Firefox, the frequency of error went down but still happens multi daily during sessons. I have to fully restart Firefox. Microsoft IE is not affected.  Of course with AVG addon dissabled, web openings are not protected by AVG. How do I get rid of error message for good?
