Web browser crashes when ever playing a video on youtube

I have a weird issue,

Today i was messing around on my computer and i went to you tube.com and was watching some music videos when my browser (firefox 3.1) crashed. I tried again and it keeps crashing on me.

I tried IE 7.0 and it did the same thing. both browsers gave me the options to send the error to Microsoft so i did.

My questions is dose anyone know what i am doing wrong?

Last program installed was "Multi-Plugin" that is a plugin for itunes. Before that was installed it was fine and i could watch videos.

When i installed "Multi-Plugin" it did something to itunes were i need to uninstall it and install it agian because it would not work.

Please let me know your thoughts on this if you could. if you need any of the error codes please let me know.

Things i have already done:
1.Ran virus scanner (AVG)
2. Updated java,flash player
3. checked drivers for my viedo card (gforce 8600)
4. Checked if there were any updates for windows xp
5. Multi-Plugin was uninstalled

My next step would be to completely uninstall Flash Player from Add/Remove Programs, and reinstall.

OK uninstalled it and reinstalled it... same issue
If you haven't already, clear your browser cache (private data in firefox), shutdown and reboot the computer, and try a flash player-enabled site other than youtube.
Yes i have cleared it now and restarted and still the same issue.

I also have uninstalled java on my pc and reinstalled it now and still the same issue.

I went to www.redlobster.com and the video it has at start up gave me the error again.

This is frustrating....

Also, you do have any more information about the crashes? Have you checked your event viewer for anything related to your problem?
Sorry... Event viewer? where can i find that at?

All i know about the crashes is that it is when ever a video on the internet is playing it crashes all my browsers.

I checked a avi file i have on my pc and i have no problems watching that. so i would say it is just videos on the web that is causing it.
Open your start menu, click "Run...". type "eventvwr.msc", press Enter.
Ok, found it now what should i look for?

2836 events in system
0 in internet explorer

Okay, I narrowed it down to either flash player or java i think.

i went to a web cam site on the web and my browser crashes. so i had a friend go on cam on msn and it worked fine.

mean anything to anyone?
Hmm, yeah, that's strange. I'll do some research.
OK now this is weird,

So i go to youtube again right now and i minimize the screen while the video is playing. And guess what no crash but the min i show the video on my screen it crashes.

Have you run C:\WINDOWS\system32\NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe?
no
i went to start >run> C:\WINDOWS\system32\NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe and it said windows cant find it
How about C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\NPSWF32_FlashUtil.exe? I'm still doing research so right now, I'm kind of just trying stuff that I have no idea if it'll affect your problem at all.
ummmmm... my flash player was updated... let me restart my pc
Nope... still get the error
i think i am going to have to cross my fingers and hope its not my video card.

i am almost at the point were i might need to do a master reboot to my pc. or if i can find a restor point on my pc. i have no clue were to find it lol

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox?
Oh, okay. I always forget about recommending a system restore.
can i give you the points still?
I wouldn't recommend it. Accept your own solution as the solution. I just wish I knew specifically what caused the problem.
yeah.. me to... i will post an update if i figure out what i did to cause the problem.. thanks again for the help.
