Are you really using 3.1? So that's a Beta or a Nightly, correct? 3.1 hasn't been fully released yet, so this could also be a bug in 3.1 that hasn't been fixed yet.

Browse All TopicsI have been using iGoogle as my homepage in Firefox for years. I do not have my personal info set to automatically clear out upon exiting Firefox. Last week, I deleted my personal info from Tools, Clear Private Data, and I deleted Cookies, Browsing History, Saved Passwords, Authenticated Sessions, Cache and Search Terms. I did this multiple times while dealing with an issue on another web site.
Now, every time I close Firefox and reopen it, I have to manually sign back in to iGoogle, though I have Remember Me on This Computer checked on the iGoogle login, and have not cleared ANY private data since.
I have 15 years experience as a network admin, and I hate to admit it, but this tiny issue is kicking my butt!

Hello jdboston,
I use iGoogle as one of my homepages, and every few days, I have log back in. That is how iGoogle works. Cookies keeps you logged in for only a couple of days.
Use Internet Explorer to log into iGoogle. Then close and open IE. Does iGoogle stay log in?
If Firefox, do you have trouble staying logged into other websites? Try with Yahoo or Hotmail websites.
Hope this helps!

Delete the file: "cookies.sqlite"
it is located here on XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profi
The last folder "qg3kevak.default" might be different per system, and it probably isn't the same path on Vista - I don't know?
But anyway find that file and delete it, make sure firefox is closed... The try it again - worked for me!

jdboston,
port/firef ox/profile #new for quick directions on creating a new Profile, for a test. Make sure you uncheck the "Don't Ask at Start up" so that you can get back to either profile quickly, until we get you straightened out.
Have you tried testing out a New Firefox Profile, yet?
There is a possibility that you have somehow corrupted your profile, so just create new one, run a test and let us know. If that works we can help you get your information copied back from your original profile.
