The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Firefox does not allow me to stay signed in at my Gmail account

My problem is I would like to stay signed in to my Gmail account while using Firefox. I can do this with IE8 & Safari but not FF.

I am using Firefox 3.011 on a vista 64 machine

Remember cookies options is set to yes.  I am not clearing cookies upon exit.  Also, cookies is deselected in the clear private data menu. I am not clearing authenticated sections.  I have keep until they expire with cookies.

It remembers my username, password and the fact I have ticked the stay signed in button.

It asks me if I want to remember this password? I say Remember, but every time it asks me again. When I go to the place where it stores the remembered passwords for websites it is empty.

Security programs installed AVG AV.  No anti spyware program is enabled.

My enabled extensions are: AI toolbar, All in one sidebar, avg safe search. Better Gmail 2, better greader, Canadian English, customize google, download, evernote web clipper, fireftp, fireshot, Free download manager, Gmail manager, gmailagenda, google gears, google notebook, google toolbar, google enhancer, goglepedia, greasemonkey, hyperwords, i.e. Tab, logmein, Mr. Tech, save images, split browser, tiny menu, tree style, xmarks

I moved the cookies.txt file out of the profile folder. I re launched Firefox but it did not regenerated the file.
