Firefox : UniversalFileRead privileges

I am using Firefox 3.2.

When I run my JSP page it gives me an error (in the firefox console)

Error: A script from "http://localhost:8080" was denied UniversalFileRead privileges.
Source File: http://localhost:8080/webtop/component/helloworld
Line: 86

can someone please let me know how to allow UniversalFileRead privileges

Put this code in the javascript which fails.

Are you trying to open a local file from JS? Because this is when you have this issue...

The filebrowse control is supposed to do this.

If I put the filebrowse control, I get this problem. If I remove this control then everything works fine.

I am guessing that you are trying to do a file read and that is causing issues.

You are right. The filebrowse control does a file read.

Now my JSP looks like this


But still the error persists

Check the link I posted, I think you need to need to sign the script or ask for permission ( look at the section - using expanded privileges)
