I am trying to create a Google calendar. Can I merge my friend's google calendar with mine. If Yes, how do I do it. Sorry I am a newbie to google calendars.

Are you sharing your calendar with that other person? Are they sharing theirs? I haven't tried or can't remember the specifics but I believe that is the key. If you both haven't set up the calendar to be shared (with at least the other) then do that. I actually believe that is all you need. If you need more details or sharing isn't enough then let me know. I can provide details or test it myself later. As far as sharing you should see the option right on the main page or the calendar to set that up. If you have a question about an option while doing it then feel free to ask.
