IE 7 freezes frequently
I have IE 7 on both my home and office PCs with Win XP SP2. I am expereincing frequents hang ups where the program freezes. I receive the following error meassage each time.

any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the excellent advice. I didn't know about all the add ins that are part of IE 7. I disabled the ones that I don't use and it seems to have solved the problem. I already had the anti virus and anti malware programs in place so I knew that was an unlikely cause.

1) Download, install and run Ad-Aware SE:

2) Download, install and run Spybot - Search & Destroy:

3) Download, install and run CleanUp!:
http://www.stevengould.org/software/cleanup/download.html
If you do not already have an Anti Virus running I recommend that you get one. In fact, if you are using Norton and even McAfee (although they are not as bad) I do recommend uninstalling them and replacing with Trend Micro™ Internet Security 2007. This is one of the most effective programs for preventing and removing a variety of malicious software and attacks. You can get this program by following the link below:

If this doesn’t resolve the problem please let us know. It is helpful if you will let us know what you found with the two spyware removal programs and what Anti Virus you are running.
