How to open an attachment in Hotmail ... not Download it, but open it directly?

Hi there,

I have a question with regard to attachments in Hotmail.  Say that someone sends a Word doc as an attachment.  If I open the email and click on the attachment, it goes to the screen where it says it was successfully scanned by Trend Micro.  It has a link to Download or Cancel (no link to open).  If I click the link to Download, it opens a dialog asking me if I want to Download the file or Cancel, but no option to "Open" the attachment.  I could have sworn it used to have that option.  Is there a setting or option somewhere I can use to get that back?  I want to open directly, NOT save it.

Incidentally, if I go to a web page with a Word document as a link and I click on it, the dialog that pops up DOES have Open as an option (along with Download and Cancel).

Any ideas?
