The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. IE7  keeps crashing

Hi
I have recently reloaded 2 laptops with XP sp2 , both where running ok before but had loads of rubbish so just reloaded to start again, i installed all 90 updated xp wanted(inc IE7)
on both machines i have the same problem, when i start IE7 , its fine, off we go to the home page, i try and move to other pages and IE7 just closes and crash report is generated. anyone any ideas whats going on, same problem on both machines, ones a dell and ones a samsing, and both operated fine before the reload.
