How do I fix Microsoft Outlook 2007 to enable the use of hyperlinks?
I am working on a Dell PS 2010 running Vista Business 32 bit. As of a few weeks ago, the computer was running pretty smoothly. Recently, I am having issues with Outlook 2007 not allowing me to click on the hyperlinks. Simultaneously, I am also unable to update my computer, I am getting the error message Code 80072EFD. I don't know whether the two issues are related or coincidental. I would love to fix both, however, it is important in my line of work to be able to click on the hyperlinks in my email. I googled this issue, however the solutions do not appear to be working at this point. I believe this to be a registry issue, but I feel like this is a stab in the dark, and I don't know where to begin.

It worked! Thank you so much!
Choose "Set program access and computer defaults". Under custom->Choose a default web browser, select Internet Explorer - Enable access to this program.
If you have Outlook open or IE, close them and reopen Outlook and try opening a link in an email.
As far as the updates, I don't think they are related, but who knows. Try this first and let's see where you are at.
