When I launch Internet Explorer, it takes upwards of 3 minutes to load. The window opens but remains blank and the tab says "Connecting". After a few minutes my home page appears. Once this is done, surfing is normal and fast.
I read through a previous thread with this same problem and followed the suggestions of spyware scan, reinstalling IE7 and disabling Microsoft and non-Microsoft services using msconfig. Here is the previous thread.
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Misc/Q_20838124.html?qid=20838124. Just like the user in this thread, the problem did not go away.
In this thread, the user ultimately found the solution to the problem by disabling some programs in the "program list". I was wondering if anyone knew what this program list was, how to I get to it and how do I go about using it to figure out the program which is causing it IE7 to load so slow?
Many thanks.
