Trouble viewing PDF's in Internet Explorer

I'm having a weird problem.  Whenever one of our users opens a PDF document through Internet Explorer, the document comes up with the IE window for about 2 or 3 seconds and then the IE window goes blank.  There isn't any error and you can still see all of the buttons on the tool bar, it's just the window where the file was that goes blank.

Please help.
