I installed IE7 and now I cannot connect to the internet either using IE7or Firefox. I am using Win XP Prof and when I ran the Network diagnostcis that IE7 offered, it says that :
Winhdows has detected a problem with the Winsock provider Catalog on this computer. This catalog allows programs to communicate with this computer across the network. ould you like Windows to reset the catalog to the default configuration?
This computer might need to berestarted to restore network connectivity.
I checked the Yes box, and then clicked Next and then restarted the pc, and again I could not connect to the interneteither thru IE 7 or Firefox. Earlier onI had switched off the dsl modem and rebooted the pc countless times.
Can anyone please help with any suggestions or diagnostic programsd that could fix this problem.
But my outlook is able to download the mesages which looks like that I am able to connect to the internet but not thru IE 7 or firefox. No idea what is the problem.
