Flash MSI install problems with Internet Explorer

Hi,

I've recently struck trouble with the update of a flash player MSI....loaded onto XP workstations via group policy.

Previous versions have worked fine. This version seems to require additional permissions to deploy properly.

The actual install via GP seems to work fine.....the package is in Add/Remove programs...and the previous version is removed fine.

However a "standard" user cannot view flash content in IE. An administrator user is prompted "The site might require the following Active X control: 'Adobe Flash Player Installer' from 'Adobe systems Incorporated' click here to install.

After the admin user clicks to install.....the plugin will work for both admin and standard users.

I've been through the group policy settings for IE/Security - and have turned on the appropriate settings for allowing active X etc.

The other strange thing is that machines that are build from scratch using our RIS server...get the new version working OK.

I just can't afford to logon to every PC or RIS it for that matter.

Any help would be appreciated.
