Cumulative security update for internet explorer 7 keeps failing.

Whenever I try to install the cumulative security update for internet explorer 7 it fails.  I tried downloading the seperate installer off of Microsoft's page and installing it, but it resulted in an error that said "Files from package are incompatible with files on your system."  The machine is a dell optiplex 270 that has windows XP with sp3 on it.  I initially had problems with the continual reboot after installing sp3, but that went away after a reinstall.  Any ideas on how to fix this problem... other than reinstalling XP would be greatly appreciated!!Start Free Trial
