The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. IE loses connection from time to time for no apparent reason (wired desktop connection)

I running Internet Explorer 7 on XP and lately IE just will not load pages for no apparent reason. I'm not sure what triggers this, but it will hapen a couple times throughout the day for random periods of time. This will last anywhere from about 5 minutes to about 15 minutes or so, but not usually longer then that.

This is a desktop running XP with a wired connection to my router. This router sends the signal to two desktop PCs. The one I am having problems with and another one running Vista and IE7. The one running Vista never loses the connection even when the XP one will not load pages.

The XP one with the problem will still receive emails via Outlook during the times it won't load pages so this is what makes me think it's a problem related to IE and not the actual internet connection. To be clear, even the times IE will not load a webpage I will still be able to send and receive incoming emails through Outlook so my actual internet connection seems fine, right?
