Browse All TopicsWhether I restart or not, when I click on the Internet Explorer icon to start, Internet Explorer does not start (most of the time). Must do Ctl-Alt-Del to Start Task Manager to End Program. Then asks me if Windows should check for solution first (never gives me a solution or indicates it found one), or just close the program. No matter which I choose, next time results in same condition. After a few times (2-5), Internet Explorer starts without any problem. This is a persistent and consistent problem. My network access is via Cox Communications, Fairfax County, VA, Cable Internet Network. What can I do or check to rid myself of this annoying problem ? Cox Communications says this is not caused by their system.

Sorry,
Have a look at this

I use this sometimes to identify errors
I purchased the RegCure, and installed, and registered, then ran Scan and Fix.
Tried multiple times to bring up Internet Explorer.
Currently, comes up without error 50-50.
Slight improvement ?
I will continue to try to see the results and frequency of error.
Meanwhile, anything else you or others can recommend ??

I've been using RegCure a couple of times every day.
It has improved the situation and cut down on the frequency of this annoying situation by 50%.
Still wondering why I need to run RegCure so often. Is there something basically wrong with my laptiop and its configuration ? I mean, do I have to run RegCure multiple times each day just to cut the problem in half ? Is there anything else you or someone can think of to do ??
Thanks !
