Favorites in Internet explorer 6 opens in side bar

While in internet explorer, my favorites folder opens in the left side bar, instead of call down menu format. How can I reset this? I have Windows XP. Thanks in advance.

You should still have the Favorites item in the menu bar. Is your menu bar activated ? (right click, check menu bar)

Simply click the Favorites button on the Internet Explorer 6 toolbar at the top of the window. The Favorites bar opens on the left side of the screenit works just like the Favorites list. (To close the bar, click the Favorites button again.)

I was using the Favorites icon instead of the menu bar to access my bookmarks! Thank you!
