Asked by GlenmoranUK in Internet Explorer Web Browser
We have a very strange issue within the company after implemeting a registry modification to open more than one home page for our users.
We have added the key "Secondary Start Pages" (REG_MULTI_SZ) under HKCU\Software\microsoft\In
ternet Explorer\main and this has the value of two web pages. However on several machines when the users open up internet explorer they are greeted with additional tabs with addresses such as
http://0.0.0.6/ ,
http://osavdtapi.dll/ ,
http://xn--e-3x5cw98k/ etc, etc. On some machines it showing what appear to be chinese characters.
This appears to be completely random and this issue doesnt manifest every time. All the PC's are upto date with anti virus and windows updates, etc.
If we remove the registry key the issue goes away, however we have a neew to open two pages when users open IE.
Any idea's??
