Windows Security Warning - Are you sure you want to copy or move files to this folder?

Hello,

I have folder redirection enabled for desktop, my documents, and application data.  Currently when I try to drag and drop a file from the desktop to the Z: drive which is the same place the desktop is redirected I get the Window Security Warning  " Are you sure you want to copy or move files o this folder?" You should only copy or move files from locations that you trust.

Interestingly when opening these mapped drives in windows explorer, they are listed as in the Internet Zone.  However *.domain.com is listed in the Intranet Zone for internet explorer 8. I have also tried adding an IP range.

If I manually copy a file, it copies fine without prompting.  It is only the drag and drop of files.  I do have it set in Internet Explorer Intranet settings to allow for drag and drop of files.

This is currenly not an issue on other servers, only a group of 4 terminal / Citrix servers.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Any network location that has periods in it will be treated as an external site reguardless of whether it's listed as an intranet site.  If possible use just the server name and not the FQDN.
more info here:  you may want to look over the workaround suggestion

It does seem like your adding it to the Intranet sites list should do the trick though after reading over the article a little closer.  I was able to get it working when I added it to group policy in the following section:

Windows Components/Internet Explorer/Internet Control Panel/Security Page
Policy Setting Comment
Site to Zone Assignment List Enabled
Enter the zone assignments here.
example.domain.com 1

sorry the formatting of my copy/paste is a little off, but you get the idea

What i Also forgot to mention, is that these drives are mapped via DFS.  For example M:\ is mapped to \\domain.com\global

Z:\ mapped to \\domain.com\global\home_folders

This is new issue, i recently broke some policies down from the default domain policy into seperate polices and this began.

Even when connecting to the mount point via unc, and having the unc in the intranet zone. I still get this annoying nag message

Correction, it is now showing that it is in the Intranet zone, but I continue to get the nag message about Windows Security Warning
Hmm...Try putting the server address in to the trusted sites zone of Internet options.

It is now displaying in the Local Intranet zone, but I am still getting the nag message about moving or copying files from above.  This seems to be happening only to specific OU.  However this OU does have folder redirection for Application Data, Desktop, My Documents.
