What's Jbed? Do I have to purchase it? Is it freeware?

I have an o2 Atom phone running Windows Mobile 5. I wanted to install the browser Opera Mini on it. The Opera Mini web site tells you to download the files to your laptop then transfer them (a .jar file and a .jad) file to your device and then follow the instructions supplied by your phone supplier. My phone supplier does not give any information on installing direct from the device. I tried going into File Explorer and clicking on the .jad file. It starts to install something but then I get this error message: "MIDlet cannot be found in local install folder. - 77" I cannot see any useful solution to this problem by searching Google. What directory should I place the files in? Nobody bothers to say. I've tried putting both the jar file and the.jad file in the root of my memory card and in the "my documents" folder of the memory card. It fails both times.
