How to get line number and message for error event via EventListener or attachEvent?

Tags: Javascript, FireFox 2.0+, IE 7+, Opera 8+

Instead of onError I want to use addEventListener/attachEvent to listen for error events.

I can get the element that caused the error via the event target or srcElement.
But I haven't found a way to get the line number or error message  that I would get by using onError.
How can I get this information?
