Where is registry key for Bypass Proxy Server setting on NT??

I have a .reg file that loads proxies to bypass into IE 5.0 under NT.

However whenever I run this, it unchekcs the box that says to "Bypass Proxy Server or Local Addreses".

I have searched the NT registry up and down, in and out. I checked this box on and off in IE 5.0 and refreshed the regedit screens...I still cannt fid where it maintains this info.

Any help appreciated.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\]
"ProxyOverride"="km.xxxx.com;*.k01.xxxx.com;*.k02.xxxx.com;*.k03.xxxx.com;*.fidelity.com;*.uhc.com;*.cigna.com;*.kemperinsurance.com;localhost"

That was it and it did put things in the Proxy Bypass box. But when you run it , it unchecks the Proxy Bypass Box in IE 5.0 (running WIN NT 4.0_.

I tried seeing if this key changed:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\ProxyByPass


But it did not.

I may have to find someone who can check and uncek this box and has a utility to compare registry changes.

IT shouldn't be here

should be found here

Isn't what you posted the same thing I had above? Proxyoverride? When I click on the regfile containing my example it does correctly insert the proxy addresses.
BUT
it unchecks the box under:
Tools, Internet Options, Connections, Lan Settings "Bypass Proxy Server for Local Addresses"

Try the reg file out (but first copy your settings to the clipboard or paste in to a file Also ensure you check the box listed above to Bypass Proxy).

You will see after you run it that the box becomes unchecked.

Now there is a setting for BypassProxy under Zones and in quite a few other places, but I could not see any change anywhere in the registry. Did a refresh every time I looked at the registry.

If you add <local> to ProxyOverride
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\]"ProxyOverride"="<local>;km.xxxx.com;*.k01.xxxx.com"
Then it works.
