When I restart my computer, the setting to Disable script debugging option in IE 6's Advanced tab is unchecked.
Every time I go to CNN.com or some other site that has a non-IE happy java script I get the damn message to debug the page.
As if I can debug CNN.com or something.
I believe this is because I have Visual studio 6 installed on my computer. I don't know why, just an educated guess.
I would like to know one of the following to solve my problem.
1) Prevent this from happening. Probably the best solution. But the cause is still foggy to me. I can only blindly point at Vis Studio 6 as the cause.
2) Automate the re-checking of the box upon startup. Like in a VB script or something that I could run at startup. Or even a visual basic program. I'm not talking about automating the launching of Internet explorer and using SendKeys to access the menu to uncheck the box. That would be silly. I'm talking about writing the proper value to whatever registry key I need to in order to achieve desired result. OR whatever else needs to be done. The registry is just a guess. If I knew then I wouldn't be posting to EE.
This happens both at my work PC which is running windows 2000 pro and on my home PC which is running Windows XP Pro. Both PCs have Visual Studio 6 installed.
If there are 2 different methods that need to be done for the different platforms This is fine. Just let me know what platform you are talking about and I will award points accordingly.
This is problem is not important however it is quite annoying so I'll set the initial point value to 125 points.
Thanks for your time.
