I received a complaint from a visitor from whom I can get only a limited amount of information, so I am having trouble duplicating it, let alone solving it. He emailed screen prints proving that some of my content overlaps other content and claims this happens in IE 6 running in Windows 98. I've had the site running for at least 2 months and average 32 visitors a day.
I prepared the site using IE 6.0.28.. on a Windows 2000 OS. I've viewed it in Netscape 7.0 and even removed some CSS to get it to work in Netscape 4.7. I've tested it on Windows 98 running IE 6, as well as on 15, 17 and 19" screens. It looks fine at various resolutions (640x480, 800x600, 1024x768). I even tested it on a Mac and have viewed the site at several friend's/relative's homes, one of whom uses AOL.
I layout my elements in div tags with absolute positioning. Content is normally imbedded in tables with table tag width attributes. I can give you the site address if you want.
