Challenging question on Browser Hijack to www.searchhh.com

Trying to find a solution on girlfriends machine. WIN 98 SE.

When you boot and go into IE you will get a warning from SPywareGuard (not that I installed it) whether you want to change the homepage from its current setting to www.searchhh.com.

I installed a lot of software and am pretty conversant with the below products. I also spoke to someone who edited the HOSTS file and there was an entry in there redirecting the webpage. They edited the HOSTS file and made it read-only. Still upon boot, some program tried to Hijack again to this same www.searchhh.com site. (You get a choice to answer "no", since I installed the below programs). I have over 3500 entries blocked via Spybots immune and also spywareguide blocklist in the reigstry not to mention other things.

I messed with everything found nothing in startup folder, nothing in registry for searchhh, nothing via Adaware, nothing via Spybot, or Mcafee, or Spywareguide.com. Also added Spywareblaster.com

*****However I did not check or do a search on WIN.INI or System.INI

I did post this question on Google and am looking there for an answer too.
