Internet Explorer Crashes when opening an Adobe Acrobat Form on an SSL site

I have a user that is running Windows XP Professional (SP2).  She is using Internet Explorer version 6.0.2900.2180.

She visits a secured site to download forms for her business.  About two months ago, she started experiencing a problem.  When she tries to open the form (Adobe Acrobat Webform) Internet Explorer crashes.

The error message doesn't provide much help except it says ModName: mshtlm.dll

Anyone have any ideas?

    I've seen the error on SP1, but not SP2; just in case, this may shed some light.

    Any idea what changed when this problem first surfaced 2 months ago?

    Any objects noted as damaged or unknown in IE - tools - internet options - general - temporary internet files - settings - view objects?  Any found with damaged or unknown, please remove.

    Unclear what version of Acrobat is installed and configured for forms control; these links may prove helpful in isolating the issue and troubleshooting; will also include the download page in case updates apply to your installed version.

    Daryn,
    I have encountered this problem with an XP OS and took the following actions.
    Coincidentally, I could print from within Word but was unable to print test pages or out of other applications.
    Actions taken:
    Removed existing Acrobat Reader version 6.0.
    Installed Acrobat Reader version 7.0.
    Results did not change.
    Installed XP Service Pack 2.
    All OS and program/printing functions were regained.

    Thanks to everyone but I just figured out the solution:

    I went to the Internet Properties and clicked on the advanced tab, then under browsing I unchecked "enable third party browsing extensions".

    I actually found this solution on another post here on experts-exchange.
