In 90% of the cases, that probably would work. In my example, when I click on an AOL email item, it opens a new window with no printing options -- no way to change the "shrink to fit" back to "100%". Any ideas?

Quite possible ... Could be some Javascript they used is causing issues. To verify, check if you are able to manipulate printer properties from other browsers ...
Another guess - not sure if this would work or if it even makes sense ... Set the zoom and printer properties of parent window and then click to launch the pop-up window ... the new window just might inherit the properties from the parent window.

Check if the "shrink to fit option" is checked while printing. If yes, then it will scale the page to fit a print4ed page. This option is enabled by default. Other printing features you can use to increase size are zoom and scaling.
