How to use ClearType ONLY for Firefox?

Hello.  I use Firefox 2 on WindowsXP. I want to use "ClearType" for Firefox, but nothing else.
On IE7, this is an option, but how could I do this in Firefox? Is it even possible? A registry tweak maybe?

Greetings, JONATHANHELD !

There is no Clear Type for Firefox only.  Clear type could appear in a future version if you ask the Mozilla Team developing Firefox.

You can activate ClearType system-wide (through Display Properties, on the Appearance tab choose Effects and you can turn ClearType on there.  There is also a MS Powertoy that will let you configure ClearType further, you can get it here.

I don't know the innards of ClearType, but maybe it's possible to write a batch script, or a registry tweak, to turn on ClearType only for the Firefox (while all other open apps are NOT using it)?

There might be a hack for this. If not, hopefully someone will write a FF add-on, or maybe a future version, as you mentioned.

JONATHANHELD, there is not way presently to add ClearType to Firefox.  No addon.
