So far, MS has not allowed us to change the Default behavior of the Shrink to Fit, so if you accidentally just hit that darn Print button, Shrinkage occurs. As AZ-Administrator says, you do have to hit the Print Preview every time to change that Shrink to fit. We haven't even figured out a Registry edit yet to allow it.
You could always have him uninstall IE7 until they get it figured out. IE6 would still be on the machine.
Another option would be for you to install Firefox for him. It's Print defaults can be changed and Set very easily. But I do understand how change can be rough for some people.

Hi bm_alvarez,
the only way i've found to fix this is on a case by case basis. instead of clicking on "print" choose "print preview" instead. if you're using the toolbar link, click on the drop-down arrow next to the printer icon and choose "print preview." in print preview, drop down the box that says "shrink to fit," and choose 100% or another acceptable size, and then print from that window.
