Greetings, 4591 !

Type about:config into Firefox’s Address Bar and press Enter.
Type browser.cache.disk.parent_directory into the dialog box that appears, then click OK. In the Value dialog box, enter c:\folder, providing the foldername in which you wish the file to be located.

Hello War1,
.
First of all thanks for your reply.
I read what you suggested.
.
After typing: about:config,
in the Firefox 2 (two) address bar no dialog box that appears.
Are you sure we are talking Firefox 2 (two) ?
Perhaps there are some changes in Firefox 2 (two) version.
regards 4591

In the Filter bar at the top, type in browser.cache.disk.parent_directory

If you don't have it, then click on any entry, then do a right click and select New/ String, and enter the above (browser.cache.disk.parent_directory) in the first box, and the location in the second

Greetings, War1,
.
Thanks, it works now.
I read this article before, when I googled looking for answers to my question,
but somehow  I couldn't set a new path, it was always at the old location
C:\Documents and Settings\....................default\Cache;
because I set a path directly to Temporary Internet Files....
It simply doesn't want to go to this folder. I wanted to have all my temps there.
So, I turned to the experts.
Before I came here,
I tried > about:config > right click > new > string (assuming sting = path).
Anyway, as they say, there is more than one way to skin the cat....ha ha ha.
Your directions are good, the key word is, a right click create NEW.
Thanks for your help.
It's been nice to do business with you.
700 points are yours with the grade of A
(hope I will not have problems to increase them this time)
Thanks again, for quick & the right answer, with your push I've done it

Ps. Every time we upgrade IE, it creates new problems, & there's no way back,
that's why I stay with IE5.5 which is very old & some sites won't accept it,
I know it, so I say hello to Firefox, I think version 2 ought to be all right.
I've read your answer about W2K & IE 7,just out of curiosity & since I'm on W2K.
Oh, I didn't know you are the top expert here, congrats.
I haven't been here for a long time, all my systems are working (touch wood
here I knock on my head ....ha ha ha) so no need for an expert advice.
Make love no war (wink, wink),......not even WW I .... just a joke........ha ha ha.
hope you don't mind.
cheers, have a g'day

Ha ha ha, looks like I have to withdraw it now. I'll do so. 4591 :)
