What AV or Firewall is running?

I am having an issue with Internet Explorer 7 timeout during larger file uploads (15+ MB) to a web server. I am using a perl upload script cgi to handle upload. I have also tested PS Upload script (perl) and get the same IE7 browser timeout. IE7 does not timeout on smaller files and upload works fine.
I tested this upload script with IE6 and larger files (50+MB) and it worked fine. Now with IE7 there is a problem. I tested it with Firefox and the large file uploads work great!!
What can be done to allow IE7 to not time-out during large file uploads? or what recommendations can you all make?
(i did some research on this and had trouble find a good answer, so I will give this one 250 points).
Big Mahalo (thank you),
Mike

Hi,
I am running EZ amor by CA for firewall and AV. also running is windows defender.
I can suggest that people use firefox for larger uploads if IE times-out, but goal is to make web site accessible and browser independent.
I read some information from some searches that IE7 has a 'new' keep alive timer of 5 minutes (by default) w/ no response from server. I saw some registry tweaks to adjust, but I can't expect users to modify registry.
I guess a couple other options are: 1. Software artisians makes FileEE upload tool ($400) and it uses asp.net (I am on linux server and was trying to keep it simple by staying away from IIS). 2. maybe try to FTP file up and then use local host script to 'move' file to upload location. That way it uses ftp to transfer, but accessible thru web site. (I may investigate this further). any suggestions?
Thanks for you help...Mike

This one had some real results I believe although it looks like FTP in IE7 is simply broken, but I don't regularly run it. It certainly doesn't sound like an easy script to fix.

"what recommendations can you all make?"
Use Firefox to upload.
