Exchange 2007 OWA is not forwarding embedded images properly

People receiving forwarded emails using our Exchange 2007 Outlook web access client cant see embedded images.

I have no problems using OWA to view emails with embedded images. When I attempt to forward the email the email reconstructs nicely in a new window with the embedded images. But whoever receives the email cant see the embedded images. Instead the images are replaced with their corresponding CID numbers and the images will be attached.

I am using IE7 (7.0.5730.13). Does anyone know if there is a specific setting that needs to be done on the server side to enable embedded images to be forwarded properly.

That's a client issue. Outlook can embed an image directly in the email, OWA cannot. In short: "By design"

That's true. However I am not trying to embed an image myself. Lets say for instance, I have received an email from a friend and the email has embedded images in it. I can view the emails with no problems while using OWA over IE7. If I click on the forward button the email is reconstructed nicely  with the Embedded images inside it. So up to that point everything seems fine. The email is sent with no issues, but the one receiving it wont be able to view the embedded images. Is that a design limitation as well? If so why then would exchange OWA give the false impression that it can forward embedded images?
There's no difference if you send a fresh one or if you forward. Same software will process the message and attach it, not embed it. By Design
Sorry, I seem to be wrong here, tried sending myself an email with an embedded picture and it shows up in OWA. When I answer or forward it, OWA will retain the embedded image.
Using OWA on Exchange 2003, IE 8 RC1
I browsed the net for hours and couldn't find anything that can explain the behavior I am facing. I will try to open a case with microsoft and see what they have to say.
