How to check RAID configuration of Dell PowerEdge 2950 in linux

As the tittle, I wonder how can I get RAID configuration  of  Dell server on Linux machine without restart

Within the Dell download section there is the SW Raid utility for linux

That is one indication for Red Hat Enterprise

Depending on what linux you run. i can only find support for Red Hat and SuSE

I read from Dell site about your recommend utility package:
"The MD Update Utility is a virtual disk update which prevents potential
RAID 1 rebuild errors from occurring after a drive replacement. The potential
errors would only apply to original SAS 6/iR RAID 1 configurations which have
not been modified by the user."
I don't think it is right solutions for me.

I using BMC instead to check status of disk.

Because DELL uses LSI chips for RAID it is possible to use MegaCLI. Which is available for Linux as well.

It doesn't require restart. But it will be installed to /opt/MegaRAID/MegaCli so be sure to add it to PATH for easier use.

But for more information on it I recommend to read:

Also I frequently visit http://linux.dell.com/ and if possible install OpenManage on your linux. I have done so on Debian, Ubuntu and  CentOS systems so I can check the hardware over web browser. And it works like charm.
