Annoying full-screen popus with Firefox

New comuputer. Win7

I used Firefox with my old XP computer. Downloaded latest Firefox for new Win7 computer.

I am getting full-screen advertizing. More than pop-ups. They appear to be full web pages.
How do I stop this?

I use Adblock Plus plugin. It is very good at blocking most of the advertisement. I highly recommend you install it

It is checked. I had a malware scanner on my old computer. I'll get one for this machine.

Yes, here too. I noticed one called "Plur Plus", and that is the name of one of the programs that shows up on my control panel > programs > delete listing

Yeah, your issue seems like malware to me.
