Browse All TopicsWe have a macbook that we are attempting to do as extensive a browser history recovery on as possible. We are fairly certain that safari was the only browser used, and are attempting to track the history back at least to the beginning of 2008. We have identified the History.plist file for Safari, but need to know if there are other places that browser history, or old history may be stored. Also, how should the history.plist file be viewed in a windows environment? We have examined it briefly in notepad, and while moderately legible, it is not an ideal solution.

History.plist is the only place the history is stored. However, there will be a history.plist file for each user. For details on how to read plist files, see:
