strung,
If Crossover is from codeweavers.com, then that is what I am using.
I am using RWW with SBS 2003, though.

Browse All TopicsI want to access RWW (Remote Web Workplace) from Mac. While I set up RDC client, temporarily, I want to use Codeweaver's cross browser.
When I use Crossover browser, I get the error like in IE.
"This portion of the Remote Web Workplace requires the Microsoft Remote Desktop ActiveX Control. Your browser's security settings may be preventing you from downloading ActiveX controls. Adjust these settings, and try to connect again."
But I do not see an Tools->Internet Option to unclick any ActiveX setting which any Windows browser (at least IE) may allow, in cross browser. When I installed, I think I installed the version 7 option for the Cross browser.
Any help will be appreciated. thanks.

Try deleting the existing bottle in Crossovers and create a new WIn98 bottle and install IE 6. In IE 6, goP to Tools:Internet Options and change the security settings to allow you to download and run Activex controls. When you then try to go to your web site, it should give you an opportunity to download and install the necessary Activex Control.
You could also check under Tools:Internet Options:Programs and click on Manage Add-Ons. See if the MicroSoft RDP client is already in the list, and if it is, activate it.

I think you mean Crossover for Mac, not CrossBrowser?
Crossover will work with RWW on SBS 2003, but when you try it with SBS 2008, you get the error message above. I don't know of any way around that. Crossover is not completely compatible with all Win applications, as you know, and unfortunately, that is one of the ones it seems to be incompatible with.
