Unable to send to MSMQ in 2003 Cluster

Hi,

I'm not familiar really at all with MSMQ or Clustering...but I've been asked to try and figure out this problem some of our developer are having.

We have current 2 nodes in a Windows 2003 Cluster. We have two groups. One is called SQL-Group and the other is called 'Text Files. We have an IP address as a resource that currently has the owner set at Node2. Lets say the name is set to MSMQ-IP. If we send the MSMQ messages to the MSMQ-IP they simply backup on the server. I am able to telnet to port 1801 to MSMQ-IP . If we put the IP equivaliant of MSMQ-IP it is sent but not received by either Node1 or Node2. If we put the direct IP of either Node1 or Node2 it works fine.

So basically if we are using the cluster ip instead of node ip, the messages are not delivered to either node.

Any ideas?
